Life is a RETRO experience

Life is a retro experience, a series of steps forward and back, as we move into the future and then look back to the past for validation, affirmation or confirmation. We want validation that our forward actions will give us we want, affirmation that we are on the right path and confirmation of our potential for success. But we don't find those things from the past because our main reason for wanting change is to transform what we are experiencing. And this use of the past merely serves to remind us of how hard, unsuccessful, difficult or limiting the past can be.

When we approach the past from the perspective of "I want something better than that", we are using the past as a reminder of what we do not want in the present. And that uses the past in the wrong way. The past represents one chosen path, one option that we took. When we judge ourselves, our life, potential and opportunities this way, we limit ourselves to one outcome and experience. Our soul contract helped us choose that path but if we limit ourselves in the present based on that outcome, we are ignoring the value of the retro experience. There are better, more powerful questions to ask.

Every challenge we overcome has a blessing, as long as we see it that way. A wonderful way to use of this Mercury retrograde in Aries is to look at the actions we took, the path they created, what we learned and whether want to continue in that direction. And we can ask questions such as what did I want, what was I trying to do, what outcome did I expect, where was my power centered, how much was I emotionally invested in the situation and outcome, and most importantly, did I give my power away to anyone or anything? These questions represent the best use of a Mercury retrograde (which l lasts until April 23) when we observe (not judge) the past from a then/now perspective, use our introspection to eliminate the choices, actions and emotions that do not serve our desire for our highest good and to make a choice for a new path that fulfills us on every level.

FEELINGS AS OUR TEACHER...

"Our feelings are a feedback mechanism to us about whether we're on track or not, whether we're on course or off course." Remember your thoughts are the primary cause of everything. So when you think a sustained thought it is immediately sent out into the Universe. That thought magnetically attaches itself to the like frequency, and then within seconds sends the reading of that frequency back to you through your feelings. Put another way, your feelings are communication back to you from the Universe, telling you what frequency you are currently on. Your feelings are your frequency feedback mechanism! When you are feeling good feelings, it is communication back from the Universe saying, "You are thinking good thoughts." Likewise, when you are feeling bad, you are receiving communication back from the Universe saying, "You are thinking bad thoughts." So when you are feeling bad it is communication from the Universe, and in effect it is saying, "Warning! Change thinking now. Negative frequency recording. Change frequency. Counting down to manifestation. Warning!" The next time you are feeling bad or feeling any negative emotion, listen to the signal you are receiving from the Universe. In that moment you are blocking your own good from coming to you because you are on a negative frequency. Change your thoughts and think about something good, and when the good feelings start to come you will know it was because You shifted yourself on to a new frequency, and the Universe has confirmed it with better feelings. This was sent to me by Rev. Angela Peregoff. The above message rings so true and when we are in tune with that, we will begin to recognize how our feelings really do manifest our reality! Be love, give love, feel love, smell love, eat love, love, love, love, love..... I can tell you that I have been practicing this for YEARS and am still learning, growing and changing into the divine being that I was sent here to be. Temporarily Out Of Balance ~ Going Through A Phase

In the process of becoming, we can become out of balance temporarily, but know it is only a phase and will pass.

We are all almost always in the process of learning something new, developing an underused ability or talent, or toning down an overused one. Some of us are involved in learning how to speak up for ourselves, while others are learning how to be more considerate. In the process of becoming, we are always developing and fine tuning one or the other of our many qualities, and it is a natural part of this process that things tend to get out of balance. This may be upsetting to us, or the people around us, but we can trust that it’s a normal part of the work of self-development.

For example, we may go through a phase of needing to learn how to say no, as part of learning to set boundaries and take care of ourselves. During this time, we might say no to just about everything, as a way of practicing and exploring this ability. Like a child who learns a new word, we want to try out this new avenue of expression and empowerment as much as we can because it is new and exciting for us and we want to explore it fully. In this way, we are mastering a new skill, and eventually, as we integrate it into our overall identity, it will resume its position as one part of our balanced life.

In this process, we are overcompensating for a quality that was suppressed in our life, and the swinging of the pendulum from under-use to overuse serves to bring that quality into balance. Understanding what’s happening is a useful tool that helps us to be patient with the process. In the end, the pendulum settles comfortably in the center, restoring balance inside and out.

The Art of Mastery

What an incredible 2010, jam packed with change, subtle and drastic. We are entering the 3rd week of January and already dramatic transformation. Personally, I had to be knocked down hard this time for the last remaining ego that was attached to a specific area of my life to finally dissolve, thus creating a more gentler state of being. Don't ya just love the energetic humor provided by the universe? This life experience created an Art of Mastery moment - a full circle aspect in karmic lessons when you are graced with this aspect, (and believe me, it will present itself to you in some form, if it hasn't already) you are given the opportunity to revisit an area of your life that had been resolved (or so you thought.)

So you see, I am revisiting an area in my life where i absolutely stuffed down emotions, accepted ideas and beliefs that were not mine AND now have the opportunity to see it from a different perspective. As I am being gifted with court side views, the entire game and its players are now transparent as I can see the lessons, (oh I mean gifts) that are abundantly rich in growth, understanding and unconditional love.  There is an adage that keeps playing the background, "once is never - twice is always."

Here we go, take heed...Be the change you want to see in the world, People! We are all experiencing shifts, changes, transformation, it is your choice as to the process. The more you hold on to that which stunts or slows or stagnates your growth, the more explosive and uncomfortable the scenario. To ease this transition, I have an useful and proven technique: Act "as if" you are already that you desire to be. When you act "as if," you learn new ways to behave and begin to move beyond the choices and responses that you made in the past.  You are now creating moments of choice rather than moments to repeat past reactions when confronted with current tensions or challenges.

What if we were required to live life from the "inside out," to be fully present to ourselves, our experience and our environment, NOW that is the change I want to see in the world and it starts with ME!!!!

You are in charge of birthing all you desire through your beliefs, through your engagements of energy, action, and thought!!

Where you put your time, energy and THOUGHTS is exactly what you are creating for your future.

As each of these move into your heart space you start to see them become externalized as your life.  You are the only one that creates stages and outcomes of situations that benefit your own Soul growth.  You, my dear self, have the ability in all abstract events in your life to pull in divine intervention, to rearrange what doesn't feel good, to rewrite the ending to any story. The buck stops with you.  You have the gift of coming full swing into Goodness if you choose.

The Golden Key

 So just a little bit more detail regards that magical golden key that somehow showed up in my life these last few days.  But, first, I wasn’t surprised that Stephen was eliminated off Top Chef last night but I sure was sad to see Dale go.  Now, that said, as long as Tre is still dreamily hanging around, well, sigh.

And Andy Cohen’s after show last night with Amy Sedaris was fall out funny and even Colicchio couldn’t keep a straight face.  Hilarity in the Bravo clubhouse.

And the laughing continued right into the early snowy morning when each boy who came by was more wrapped up than the next.  See we live in an area close by the Chesapeake Bay and we have these enormous dunes nearby, so, whenever it does snow (and stick) the boys snowboard and sled, for hours, down those dunes.  But first they converge here and I swear it was like a Norman Rockwell painting here earlier today.
And right this instant I am waiting on Val to get here to help me put up the tree.  FINALLY.  I am just so behind this holiday season!  But I was in front of the energies this morning when I walked into my bathroom this morning.  Truth be told I did see something sticking out over the top of that door yesterday but I just don’t know why I didn’t just reach up and grab whatever it was.  I had alot on my mind yesterday so I don’t think I was present with that gift.

But this morning, just as I passed under the door, the sun caught the key and it sparkled and shimmered.  I got up on my tip toes and grabbed the key and pulled it down in front of me.  A golden key.  What?  Why?  How’d it get there?  Weird.

So the first thing I thought was that Val must have left that key there when he was in my room the other day.  But, still, a golden key on top of the lip of my bedroom bathroom door?  Hmmmmm……

But, then, I quieted and I asked what this key meant.  And that still small voice that I trust so very much just said these three words, ‘The Golden Key.’  When I got to my computer I looked up a small book that I remembered reading once upon a million years ago.  But, I couldn’t remember what the message of the tiny little pamphlet was.  Until I reread that message again today.  And, essentially, it’s this:

The Golden Key is practicing the presence of God.  This method definitely supports and aligns with main messages of almost every other tradition I have studied.  Simply put, The Golden Key maintains that thoughts are things.  And that where you place your thoughts, consistently and constantly, is also what you will most assuredly manifest in your life.  In this particular pamphlet, the author, Emmet Fox, says that focusing on problems will only serve to create more of same in your life.  The Fantastic Mister Fox gave us his Golden Key by instructing that WHENEVER your thoughts turn to ANYTHING you don’t want in your life, you should CONSCIOUSLY STOP and turn your thoughts to God (or whoever your Higher Power is.)  But the idea is the same.  Don’t spend one second thinking about anything unproductive.  And if/when your find yourself slipping into anything anxiety producing you should IMMEDIATELY and CONSCIOUSLY stop that stinking thinking and then shift your vibration to an immeasurably higher one by simply thinking about God.

So I am grateful, grateful, grateful…for a benevolent and blessed Universe that will manifest little golden keys for me to remember that we are not ever alone.  Symbols.  They speak to the language of the soul.  And can unlock our ultimate potential so that it can be filled to overflowing with miracles, magic and possibility.
