Telling a New You Story....

If you try to force yourself to change, then change will never stick. - Gabby Bernstein

Thunder struck and the clouds parted in the sky.... that is how I felt when I read the above words by my friend Gabrielle Bernstein this morning. I have been doing some serious work while praying and leaning on God and the Angels for support. I am re-writing my story.....

Actions steps are required and I have my boot straps pulled up to my a**. I am serious, determined, fierce, loved and lovable all wrapped into one giant vessel.

This is a year of transformation my dear ones. I know, I know..... we are always stretching, growing and hopefully learning; however, this year is HUGE!!!!! Our creator has laid an amazing grid for our prosperity, health and happiness. The bank of the universe is not broke.

Now, what are you doing to do about it? How are doing to make this life your best ever starting right here, right now?

Here is a passage from Debbie Ford, a sweet angel who held my hand as I made a determined effort for my best life ever. I love her for her assistance. Now she is in heaven, still working miracles, except now she really is everywhere. ;)

It's so easy to make promises about the year ahead. You will follow your diet, be more financially responsible, be kinder to your spouse, spend more time at the gym...But, for most, the promises you make today will be empty dreams six months from now. Real change doesn't occur when you just want something or wish for another reality. Real change happens when you feel genuinely inspired, turned on by possibility and unwilling to settle for anything less. It happens when you commit with all of yourself to a new way of life, to a new future. So how do you do this?

To feel inspired and lit up and to make room for optimism, enthusiasm, and lasting change, you must lighten your emotional load by addressing your past issues, your emotional blocks, your negative beliefs, your feelings of unworthiness and any infantile desires that drive you to repeatedly head off in a direction counter to your dreams. If you drop your commitments, it is not because you want to be seen as a quitter or a loser but because unconsciously you are more committed to an outdated self -- an old identity that feels comfortable and safe even though it might have stopped serving you years ago. Often, psychological laziness will have you switch your life over to autopilot and fall asleep at the wheel rather than stay awake to what will fulfill your heart's deepest desires and your soul’s purpose.

In these first weeks of the new year, a very fertile time to look over your past and commit to a new future, you can ask these simple questions to unload some old baggage and steer your life in the direction of a brilliant and thrilling future -- the ride of your life.

1. What are your deepest desires for this new year?

2. What are you willing to give up to get them? What habits, limiting beliefs, unhealthy relationships or situations?

3. When did you become unwilling to do whatever it takes to have what you want?

4. What cravings or unmet needs will drive you away from your desired destination?

5. What structure of support will you need to ensure this new future?

6. Who could you count on to be your co-pilot to ensure that you will neither fall short of the runway nor overshoot your desired outcome? Who will help you stay awake?

If you wish to fly to new heights, begin by setting your sights on a destination you can reach and then create a flight plan, a map that will be your guide. And if at any time you don't feel like following your flight path, stop, take a deep breath, call forth your vision for your future, then pick up your phone, dial your co-pilot and ask them to remind you that veering off your route really isn’t worth the pain of repeating the past. Veering off will only leave you in the same repetitive pattern of wanting, wishing, fantasizing, and then feeling intensely disappointed when you land at a destination other than the phenomenal future that awaits you.

So today, YOU have the power to choose the destination of your dreams, create a flight plan and stick to it. So gather your courage, your strength and your commitment and get on board, making this year the most inspiring year of your life.

Have a great week, bust it wide open and make a difference todayAs we continue this journey together, know that I love you, I am grateful for this experience, God is and that is my truth.

Making our days count....

Every day of our lives can be sacred days. Every day we have the opportunity to open our eyes, connect with our soul, and experience the gift of life. When we're connected, we're not run by our fear, worry, and pain. Instead, we're in the present, certain that everything is as it should be and that we are where we need to be right now. Divinely connected, we know that new realities exist and that, ultimately, it is going to get better. When we're connected, we know that no matter what life hands us, we are protected and guided. This is a conscious practice that I make a choice to embrace daily. To know in my heart of hearts that it IS going to get better and I am protected and divinely guided is all I have some moments. And that is okay...

So it is my intention to offer this message as kindling for your soul. May it light the fire to have you passionately go after your faith. May it spark you to look for what's right about your life - to be hungry for it, and to know it's coming, even if you can't see it yet.

Think about it. Would you act differently if you knew you were blessed, if you knew God was watching over you and protecting you? What boundaries would you feel empowered to set? What requests would you make? What doors would you allow to open if you knew you were divinely held? And what would happen in your life if you were intentionally reaching up and pulling in your connection with the divine?

Transformational Action Steps

This weekend, look for the blessings. Keep your eyes open to new opportunities. If you know that they're there, you will surely find them. And give yourself a break this weekend from questioning, from not being sure, and from resignation and disappointment. Instead, make a holy demand on yourself to live your faith rather than your fear...and just watch what happens. I am walking these exact steps too. Stepping in to my power, my source, my divine world that was made just for me.

My dear Debbie Ford inspired these words and has been a guiding light and source for my strength in years, months, weeks and days past. If you have not delved into your shadow yet, I HIGHLY suggest that you watch the Shadow Effect and do the work OR read the Shadow Effect and do the work.

We at the Aromatic Institute have created the Power Up Kit that will effectively assist you in your journey of embraced, releasing and loving your shadow.

Heather

The Dis-ease of Minimizing

When I began the Shadow Process with Debbie Ford a few ago, the transformation was so very powerful. I went from being resigned, angry, and worn out to having my eyes flooded with light. My smile can light up a room. My hearts is open and I hold possibility in my hands.

It's such a miracle to witness transformation. And it always begins with a desire for change that is so strong that one decides to commit and make all the arrangements that go into taking the time away for themselves. That intention and that commitment drives our unconscious in a new direction. And after days of going within, saying things I never thought I would say, sharing secrets with new friends, and laughing so hard at the absurdity of being human, voila! I became someone that is unrecognizable not just to the people around me but also to myself. This is what I live for: to see the transformation in others.

But what could pull people down or bring them back to their old ways? The almighty Minimizer.

The following is directly from Debbie Ford:

"The Minimizer showed up three days after I arrived home from a Shadow Process Workshop. I was listening to a very disturbing conversation about someone who had trained with me for over three years, someone who I watched transform from a crying, angry, powerless woman to a strong, independent, self-respecting and talented transformer. Here, years later, I heard that this woman was angry at me and one of my staff and that she was saying quite horrible things about me despite all the value she had gotten (the gifts are beyond anything I could list). For a moment, I was perplexed that she could minimize the hundreds of transformational moments she had with us, all that she had learned, all the ways that she had grown, and then I realized that she had just been afflicted with the dis-ease of minimizing. She couldn't remember anything good. In fact, she was caught in her own projections. This is a classic example, and we are all in danger of coming down with this dis-ease. Maybe we minimize our mothers who cared for us, who carried us around, who fed us, who drove us to school or afterschool activities. Years later, we focus on what we didn't get from them, what didn't work, or the incidents we feel scarred us. Or maybe we minimize our teachers who supported us, pushed us, told us that we could be better than we are, and now we can't even remember their names. Maybe we minimize the impact that our exes had on our lives, even if they tried to make us better people, supported us in bringing forth our gifts, or gave us our kids who we love. In the midst of heartache, all we can remember is what we didn't get.

The ability to minimize those who have been the great contributors to our lives has deeper consequences than we can really imagine. As we minimize all that we have received, we are also minimizing ourselves. When we are not in deep gratitude or appreciation for the growth that has been given to us, when we spend our energy making others wrong, finding their flaws or just being ungrateful, the effects are far-reaching. We actually draw forth that same minimization inside ourselves. We hear the voice of our Minimizer inside our own minds. "I'm not strong enough, not good enough, not young enough, not lucky enough." Sound familiar? That's the voice of the Minimizer. "I could have done better. I should have done better. That person should have done this for me, said this to me, looked at me like this, talked to me like this." The Minimizer exists right now inside of you and if you want to take your power back and remember who you are and let the light shine bright through your eyes, you can do this by busting through your Minimizer. You can start by acknowledging all those you have minimized. As you acknowledge what you did receive, what did support you, what did help you, what did change you, what did move you forward in your life, you remind yourself of the true gifts of another and at the same time, you acknowledge the gift that you have been to another.

This week, allow yourself to see all those you are making wrong, all those you are projecting on, all those who have given you new life in some way that you are hating on. And then transform the lens through which you see these people. Start to write down the gains, what you've gotten, how you've grown, who you've met, and who you've become. There, you will find the power and be able to heal the dis-ease of minimizing."

This is a gift from me to you, please love yourself enough to explore so you too can heal from the dis-ease of minimizing.
Until next time,
Sweet Kisses and Aromatic Wishes...

A review of The Shadow Effect

A Review of Debbie Ford’s Movie: The Shadow Effect:

I am honored to have been chosen to review the Shadow Effects by Debbie Ford. I watched the non-interactive version first and I am so glad that I did. (If I would have known that DVD #2 was the same but with interaction, I would have chose #2, because I want to jump right in and get the work done.) By watching DVD #1, I was able to completely absorb the content and let it sink in, then when I got to the interactive DVD, I was fully prepared to participate, which was in my favor.

What is The Shadow?

Until Debbie’s assessment of our Shadow, I had always thought that it was something to be suppressed and it had not real value in my positive world. I was on the opposite end of that one. Our Shadow is something of darkness within ourselves that was born at a very young age. Where there is dark, there must be light. It is our jobs as human beings to bring this into balance within ourselves. Now when I say darkness, I don’t necessarily mean evil. There are aspects that we keep hidden from others, that if revealed, we fear the worst. Debbie said is best by using the analogy of our public life vs. our secret life.

What Debbie Ford taught me about The Shadow

Debbie said it best, “If you don’t deal with your shadow, it will deal with you.” What I took from that was we all have or have had chronic unprocessed emotions, which left buried will lead to dis-ease, i.e. Obesity, diabetes, cancer… Thoughts and emotions have a tremendous effect on our organs. As we begin to move through our shadow, we discover our light, we begin to bring balance and harmony within.

After watching the movie, I feel like I have been on a journey where you find lost dark pieces of yourself that you had hidden or swept under the rug or stuffed into a closet. I found shame, guilt, unworthiness and other unpleasant emotions that have been lying on the bottom of my heart, while I have been putting grandiose memories and emotions of happiness, success, and empowerment on top to only be spinning in a vicious circle every few months or years.

This movie caused a shift in me as I am now moving through my shadow and letting my light shine.”

I am ready to watch it again and want to everyone that touches my world to see it and gain insight and grow from it. Thank you again Debbie for your dedication, for being real and exploring your shadow so you could bring forth your light to share. I laughed, gasped and cried while watching The Shadow Effect as it brought to the forefront in my world those things hidden in the dark that must be released for me to always grow and share my gifts to the fullest.

A Message of Light

I received this message from Debbie Ford yesterday. I love the words and knew I had to share it.

"Light! More light!" howled Goethe before he died.

Dear Loved Ones,
You have been called to be who you are -- the whole luminous light. No one can dim your light when you are fully present to the depth and breadth of it. No one can say no to a light so bright. No one can deny who you are unless you are, in some way, minimizing the power and the force of your divine substance.
Don't go to sleep now for you have been awakened. Don't shut your eyes or you will put out the light. Stay awake to the power and force that guides and protects your divine essence.
Look for the light. Look for it in everything. Look for it in yourself, in your children, in your job, and in your dreams. Look for it in the food you eat and in the people you surround yourself with. Look for it in the music you listen to and in the words that you read. Look for it in your communication and in your heart.
Find the light of God in your past, in your struggles, and in your missed opportunities. Find it right now wherever you are and whomever you're with. For until you can find the light, there will be darkness -- the very darkness that you have given the power to put out your light.
