Pondering our Processing...

WOW - what an interesting time we are in. I have been talking for quite a while about change. I have embraced the concept that we are constantly evolving, growing, stretching and learning.  Now here is the real deal.....

Many are resistant to change, digging in their heels, letting their fear of the unknown persuade them into staying in their rut. Well that was then and this is now. Now Change is necessary, it is all or nothing. If you tell yourself something long enough, you will believe it. If you fail to take the time to question why you do what you do, you can become convinced that you cannot do anything else.

Whether we like it or not, we are being pushed by universal forces to let go of the past and all the junk that no longer serves our highest good. This influence is forcing us to look at all those little aspects of ourselves that we often choose to ignore. Maybe it is not about fixing something that is broken, maybe it is about starting over and creating something better.

Instead of regretting your past experiences, embrace them as the learning blocks that created the masterpiece that you are today. Just as those past experiences shaped your current reality, your current experiences are also shaping your future!

The trick will be to stay in the present moment. Don't get lost in the past, though bits will come up for us to do over and do differently. The horizon is wide right now, we can see far ahead for a change, but to get that far we need to engage opportunities right here and right now. We can choose an open-ended path and stay open for a serendipitous meeting or positive shift in relationships.

Notice an urgency to express and feel understood, but it’s hard to be heard when everyone wants to express at the same time. We need to be as curious about others as we want them to be about ourselves. We can see how the patterns in how we think and speak, and notice how we recreate familiar reactions in the people around us. Some experience can put us out of our comfort zone and point out to us that we need to let go of some outmoded behaviors in order to achieve our goals. We can rebel against our patterns once we see them and make a difference choice, break old patterns and truly feel free. It can be both scary and exciting if we embrace this process, but will be well worth the effort.

Have a great week, bust it wide open and make a difference today. As we continue this journey together, know that I love you, I am grateful for this experience, God is and that is my truth.

Just Chill Out: The Magical Power of Giving Up Your Agenda!

Recently I received an email from a reader who felt her life was just not where she thought it would be (and should be) by now. She expected that by 37, she’d be married with kids and a quaint house. She also thought that by now, she’d have advanced more in her career and would have the means to take exotic vacations. She said she’d been trying so hard to make things happen, but none of her expectations had come to fruition. She asked me for insight into when things would all work out. Would it be soon? I knew intuitively that many of her dreams would come true, but not until she loosened her grip and allowed for the Divine to work it’s magic. My advice to her was simple: Just chill out for awhile!

How many times have YOU wanted something soo badly, but no matter how much you visualized, hoped, prayed, and manifested it just didn’t come to fruition? So eventually you threw your hands up in the air and decided to just give up…. Then as if by magic, once you’ve moved on, the dream you let go of came into your life—you got the new job or promotion, met the “one,” or found the new home.

This is one of the most amusing paradoxes of life—We often get what we want after we no longer give a hoot! I’ve seen this phenomenon again and again in my clients’ lives. And, I’ve experienced it in pretty much every area of my own life, from my career to meeting the right partner. It may seem like the Universe is playing a dirty trick, but that’s far from the reality; it’s all just part of the Divine’s plan for each of us.

Giving up your agenda is one of the most powerful things you can do. Truly! Of course, it’ important to have goals and dreams and take action to bring them into your life. But, if you start to live, sleep, and breath your future, you actually lose tons and tons of power. When longing, yearning, and obsessing become your primary emotions, you disconnect from Spirit and close yourself to the incredible possibilities the Divine has in store for you. As I often say, the now is where ALL your power is. By obsessing about what you want in the future, you’re bound to feel something is missing from the present. You shift from living in gratitude and appreciation to lack, which just begets more lack.

Yes, you may really want and deserve something. But, as the Arrow Master in my Wisdom of the Hidden Realms Oracle Deck notes: The only way to hit the target is to allow the arrow of your intention to fly unencumbered by your eagerness to see it travel exactly the way you want it to go. You should shot for the stars, but then you must turn your desires over to the Divine, allowing it to work it’s magic and weave your life together as it’s meant to be. What is yours will come to you… as long as you allow it to by living in the now.

Exercise:

Just Chill!
What desires and goals might you be gripping onto? Write them down. Then in your journal investigate the following questions: Why might I be obsessed about getting this goal? What am I making it mean? (i.e. that I can finally be happy, successful, cool)

Then on a separate piece of paper, write a letter to Spirit. Talk about how you’re turning this over and trust in the Divine plan. You might want to keep the letter, put it in a God box, or do a ritual of release (such as burning or burying it.)

Appreciate the Now!

Go on a gratitude cleanse for one full week. Make a conscious effort to look for what you’re grateful for in the now. I challenge you to write down 20 each day. You’ll be amazed at the transformative power of a new set of eyes!

In love and service, Colette

A beautiful and timeless soul, Colette Baron-Reid posted this on her blog yesterday and it landed in front of me moments ago. I had just had conversation of stillness, enjoying beingness in this NOW moment. I too have drawn the Arrow Master card from Colette's Wisdom of the Hidden Realms deck. I am going on a GRATITUDE CLEANSE, starting today, lasting ONE week. Join me and we can all begin looking through a new set of eyes.

Being versus Having Potential

We all have potential, which is the limitless field of possibilities that we can create our life from. Our potential is the small voice of our heart which calls us to explore opportunities, to create a reality from a long held dream, to become the powerful, joyful person we know we can be. But unless we are able to step into our potential, it simply exists as a possibility in our life, something that we can have at some point in the future when we are ready to change. To embrace our potential we must be willing to 'be' whatever it is calling us to become.

Many of us are stuck at the point of having potential, we know that there is something better for us and a way to live that is happier than what we have, we just don't know how to connect to it. Our fears, doubts, uncertainty and confusion stop us from taking the leap of faith that will propel us into a different future. Even if we are unhappy, living the life we know is better than stepping into something so uncertain and unknown that when we can't find a solid foundation to step onto, we ignore its call.

But being our potential does not give any guarantees either. After all, it is potential, meaning that its form is shadowy at best. Because potential calls us to become, it means putting our dreams out in the open, exposing our heart's desire to a critical, unforgiving world. What if we fail, what if no one likes us, what if we do not find any appreciation for our new self? What if we do not like what we have chosen? What do we do then? Do we make mistakes when we become our potential?

This is the critical point for potential, when we can separate ourselves from the belief that if someone approves of our potential, then we have made the right decision. Because once we step into our potential, we also challenge others to step into theirs. And they may be critical, but that is because they are receiving their own inner call to become their potential. If we could take one aspect of potential that calls to us and give it all of our effort, become what it is calling us to do, then we would take that first step and be on the path to allowing our confidence and trust lead us on a journey that would unfold into a life of being who we are from the soul level, embracing our power and giving ourselves permission to be the potential our heart knows is possible and true for us. Be the potential you know you have and allow your life to unfold for you in new, different, unknown, uncertain and miraculous ways.

**This was written by a great soul in our realm, Jennifer Hoffman.

There is no coincidence; however, the energy of the universe will always bring to you the things you seek. The above article is a HOT topic RIGHT now in our world as we are all being asked to step into our potential. The potential that is in the highest good for all, not what we THINK others want from us, but that which IS us at our deepest soul level.

The call has been made. It is now your responsibility to step in. It is a beautiful ride that has many dips, turns and hills. Hang on for this is the beginning of the rest of your glorious life.
