Handling the Holiday Crazies

I had the incredible opportunity to be a guest on blogtalk radio with Joyce Stech. I HIGHLY recommend that you listen to this interesting show called Handling the Holiday Crazies.

During this show, I talked about an easy way to incorporate essential oil therapy into your home during the holidays. I want to talk to you about this recipe and the properties that these gifts from the Universe have to offer.

I talked about using cinnamon sticks, cloves and lemon slices in a pot of water on the stove to simmer that releases a heavenly, comforting aroma. This freshens the air, creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. You are releasing essential oils into the air, magic happens, a shift occurs.

The properties of Cinnamon are antiseptic, clearing the air of airborne germs. It is warming, allowing your shell to soften and regain passion in life. Clove is another great antiseptic, clearing the air of germs, making it easier to breathe. Clove has the ability to assist in the releasing of attachments, empowering you to move forward, exploring new possibilities and experiences. Lastly is the benefit of Lemon; highly bactericidal, it abates infections of all descriptions and detoxifies. Lemon has the ability to release emotional, irrational outbursts from your life.

So imagine having these unbelievable oils diffusing in your environment during the holidays, imagine releasing all those beliefs that do not serve you and actually enJOYing your family and friends.

Now you can do this with a simple recipe of 3 cinnamon sticks, 4 whole cloves and 2 slices of lemon (give a twist to release the essential oils from the rind.) OR you can use the actual essential oil to create this and can be placed in a pot of water to simmer on your stove as well.

Happy Holidays and Best New Year to you and yours.
